"you subscription has expired." C'mon guys... do you want it to be text to speech or something?
Blaming the game for your own stupidity it's not cool.
Like activating your license code, or this thread where they are surprise that a sub mmo they haven’t played in the past 2 years asks them to subscribe again.
What’s so hard to understand about the activation, subscription process is beyond me.

If a game discussion forum has 8 out of 10 topics on the first page reporting problems with registering, MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYBE there is more to it than everyone being dumb except you you little ♥♥♥♥♥?
In your steam library? The dlc isn't listed as a separate game, it shows up under the base game. If you don't have the base game on steam well that's a problem since the steam version of the dlc isn't compatible with the non steam base game as the product page clearly states.
If you do own the base game on steam you just right click on it in your library list, then click on show cdkeys and then copy and paste it into the activation field in mogstation. This is the whole activation procedure. Takes about 5 minutes tops. The game won't find and activate it automatically since your steam account isn't connected to the se account technically.
Yeah there are many threads on here about the activation and it always boils down to people complaining instead of reading the instructions carefully and thinking for themselves.
Your argument is pretty pointless because okay, let's say we have 10 threads about registration problems. Fine, that's 10 people. What about the thousands who never had any problems such as myself? I've been playing the game for about 5 years now and I've managed to activate every single expansion individually without any problems, like many others. So yeah, you're part of nothing but a tiny minority albeit a very vocal and aggressive one, and regulars of this forum such as myself are tired of these posts and the aggressive response that we often get for no particular reason.
Maybe better drink some herbal tea, take relaxing walk and come back when you have calmed down. Before ranting read up a bit where to find codes and where to put them, use google if things are to complicated for you. Or just ask nicely for help without going into full rage mode.
It's all explained, still your fault for not reading.
Adults have reading comprehension that you lack... Maybe you're the one who shouldn't touch a computer.
I'ts a recomendation that a security systems developer analyst gives you, mate.
It's like a guide for stupid people tbh.
Another issue is they separated the Square Enix Account and Steam-SE Account. Before this, you could buy this game on Steam, and use your Square Enix Account login credentials to play.
Now, it checks to see if the account on the Steam version has been activated.
((I, too, got the same message about my account not being active anymore. Turns out it was looking at the account created when I purchased FF14 off of Steam so I could track hours and just have everything all in one place. - Boy, did I have have a heart attack; "MY HOUSE!", is all I thought. But turns out just downloading FF14 from Square's site was all I needed to do.))
....now, if only I could pay to transfer my character to 'this' FF14 account.
Myyyyyyyyyyyy ducking bad I misinterpreted what it was actually saying. I also didn't want to go through the hassle of a possible refund IF I subbed and it still gave that error; especially after reading support is no longer active. Thanks for the help though, I guess.
You won't be able to connect if there's no active sub.
Licenses are always valid except if you buy em in gray markets, which then again its not game's fault but yours for buying it there.
