Is that what WoW does? thats disgustin
I don't really understand what's the problem with this system, other than being lazy.
But tbh you won't really go back to most areas after the msq if you don't do gathering or hunt so they could even skip it.
Level 20 (allowed to use mounts) - 4 gold
Level 40 (Speed boost) - 50 gold
Level 60 (able to fly) - 250 gold
Level 70 (weather training) - 5000 gold
Level 80 (flight boost) - 5000 gold
This is only licenses you still need to buy your starter ground and starter flight mount since they are seperate. I dunno about you but I'd prefer to explore the world and collect aether currents than cough up gold that you need to farm for. As a newbie, enemies drop copper coins at the start and hopefully junk gear that would at least sell for 10-20 silver.
So yeah I prefer aether current hunting.
Literally the only areas currently without flight are the ARR areas, the cities, housing disctricts and the PvP hub, Wolves' Den Pier. The ARR areas are getting flight in August and it makes sense for flight to not be possible in the cities, housing districts and Wolves' Den Pier, although one city will technically allow flight, and that's Mor Dhona.
20mins lol think your being very optimistic there. Most zones have aether currents you can't reach until later into the MSQ, the quests for the rest don't unlock until further into the MSQ too, I'd say it's at least a couple of hours per zone to unlock flying, especially the earlier ones as the final unlock happens with the last MSQ quest as you leave the zone.
So yeah, it's about 20-30 means that you only have to dedicate to the currents and the quests, assuming you have collected quite a few of them progressing through the zone which you should cuz it feels like many of them are placed in deliberately obvious positions along your journey.
