How to use a purchased hair style?

I see that on the market board you can buy some hair styles. If I buy one, is it in character creator for all characters? How would it work, just one time use? Or if just on specific character, if I use it is it theirs forever so I can change back and forth?

As expensive as some are, I'd hate to use it once, change back to another hair and see it's gone forever (shudder).

you use the item to unlock it, the hairstyle is then permanently unlocked for THAT character only, none of you other characters are gonna get it.

Thanks, so I can go back and forth with styles on the same character. I like to change often and don't want this to be an expensive 'one timer'. thanks :)

I bought a hairstyle but can't find it when I used my fantasia potion. Is it another way to equip the hair?

If you bought a hairstyle, you need to actually use the item in your inventory before it unlocks. After that you can go to any inn room and change your hair there.

fantasia doesnt show earned hairstyles. Have to do it at the boutique npc after fantasia

there's a quest in limsa you have to do that unlocks the ability to use the other bell in the inn rooms. (on what looks like a white and red barbers pole). costs 1k gill (iirc) for minor cosmetic changes like hairstyle.
