Awful download speed.[SOLVED]

Hi there everyone, recently i bought Ffxiv on Steam and now i'm trying to download it, but the thing is, it's painfully slow. I'm downloading with 0.63mb/s ;-; , do you have any solution?

After a day later i found the solution on Reddit by "McNammys"

In command prompt as administrator, type in: netsh interface tcp show global

See if it's disabled, and then if it is, type: netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal

my speed is full now!

Many people have this issue , my "fix" was to close the client and start again. For a period of time my download speed would increase before droping again to 0.6. I know its not much but it saved me some minutes - hour.

You should always, when it comes to download speeds, speak with your ISP first.

My 1GIG speed does just fine. I only ever got ♥♥♥♥ like that when I was on grandfathered in crappy dial-up disguised as broadband. Talk to your ISP.

I tried that but sadly didn't work, it's been nearly 10 hour and still counting :(

It is likely your ISP. That has been the answer, every single time I have seen people actually call the ISP. The ISP, for some reason, throttles at a specific point in the pipeline between you and the server.

I can second that it more than likely is your ISP, I live in Australia, a country with abysmal internet speeds compared to virtually every other country, yet my download speed on the launcher never gets that low. It's not like you have anything to lose by contacting your ISP to see if that is the cause.

Nah man I had same issues while my internet was fine , its the client. Check it online MANY people have this issue. Other games are fine

The CMD doesn't change just the browser, genius. So again: not the launcher or client.

Its still an issue on their side :) , 99% ISP thats some genius talk.

Ah yes, because you editing settings in your computer accesses the server and alters the client somehow.
