FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

Unable to start Free Trial on new PC
I first registered a Square Enix account back in October 25, 2019 to try out the free trial on Steam but both my laptop and desktop were unable to run it very well due to both of them being too old and I couldn't even make a character so I gave up on that.

Fast forward to today. I just got a brand new laptop that could handle it yesterday so after getting things set up, I wanted to try some games out today. But now it's asking for a registration code and wouldn't let me skip it, saying that leaving it blank was invalid. So I downloaded the free trial client from the official site and that's telling me that I don't have a valid subscription despite that I never had one in the first place, let alone a single character to play on. Even Mog Station still has my account type labeled as "Free Trial (Steam)". I'm feeling pretty frustrated by all of this and I would like to get it solved so I can finally try this game out.

"Go into your Documents folder on your PC and then go into Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn folder and look for a file called FFXIV_BOOT.cfg. Open it up with Notepad and change EulaAgreement and StartupCompleted values from 0 to 1. It should fix your problem."

idk if you read this or need this info, but i just recently try to download FFVIX outside of NA region. At first i use google chrome to make the square anex acc but failed and get the error code i2501 (btw i use official web to download this game). I try to use other email but failed, and then i try to turn of my windows security but failed too. Later, almost give up, i try to use microsoft edge, change my region and languange to NA and BOOMM! i can download it now. So the conclusion is, how abt try to use different apps to download the game? maybe diffrent apps can give you big luck.
