Leveling and why i quit at level 20

i wonder, is the leveling in FFXIV still only possible if you play dungeons at level 20? Or is there a leveling solo player experience available in the meanwhile?

With FATEs, Leves, hunting logs, and non-main story line quests, it is pretty easy to level to 50 without grouping. That said, you won't get too far beyond that, since you have to do the MSQ to unlock expansion zones, and the only way to progress through the MSQ is by doing dungeons. I expect, however, that you could level to 50+, and then make pretty decent progress through the MSQ solo by doing the dungeons/trials unsync'd. Especially since you can get iLevel 115 crafted gear from the market.

But it would be far easier/faster to take advantage of the roulettes and main story line xp. Not only for that xp (and items), but also because it means not delaying access to your chocobo.

Why do people go into an MMO wanting to play solo?

Idk man it's so weird especially since there's little to no interaction between players in dungeons raids etc so I don't know why it's a problem to play with 3 or 7 other people.

In this case you should look at the single player Final Fantasy games, they'll give you this experience but FFXIV won't since it's an mmo.

I agree. One should go into an MMO expecting to have to play alongside others for some content. If you do not want to do anything alongside other players, you should look to single player games.

schmonz, why do you not want to do dungeons? What about the multiplayer parts makes you not want to run them?

If you want to level up by questing alone and having to do 0 content with a group then you'd be better off with retail WoW.

With 14 you will have to do some dungeons to progress the story and unlock other side content.

FFXIV is even kind of a single player MMO in regards to it's story so idk it sounds like this guy doesn't know there is a main story.

I think he does and he got to Sastasha (I believe that's the first dungeon) and went nope as he didn't want to play anymore.

And if he was on a preferred server, that would put him over level 15 when he got there.

I want to ask how the F did you get in to the game I am lost???? I register the account and login, it told me go in to the square enix account management system and register the service account...? what ? That mean you have to pay to play the game or what? I had use the special code ones then??? Is that the confirm service history ??? But it fking said I registered square enix account ....???? HElP~~~~ I do not know how this ♥♥♥♥ works..,........

Yes, the game has a subscription of 12.99 for entry or the normal 14.99. Every month.

Didn't 14 recently introduce npc allies for dungeons, or was that only for open world events?
