Is Ironworks set good enough until I hit 60s?

Title. I am farming tix to exchange for the whole complete armor set of Ironworks, level 50, is this good until 60s or should I worry to farm something else from now? Already level 54.

you can augment ironworks and that'll last you until 60 if you don't get any upgrades, and then augment shire gear and that'll last you til 70 where you can augment scavean gear that'll last you til 73-75. All of it done with poetics

Cool! Could you please tell me how do we augment a gear and where do I do that? I think someone told me to go to Mordhana and talk to Auriene unless I am mistaking it.

Ironworks is upgraded with Carbontwine which you can buy from Auriana. I'm pretty sure you go to Drake at the North Shroud to do the actual upgrade.

Shire gear is in idyllshire. You purchase base gear in the main building, I think the middle npc? And upgrade outside. If you walk out the front door closest to the exit and follow the path to the right before you get to the market square with a bunch of tents there's 2 vendor npcs. The one on the left is the upgrade gear person iirc.

Scavean is in Rhalgar's Reach. Far left npc at the counter give you gear and upgrade materials, far right npc gives you the upgraded versions

this is all out of my memory and it's been a while since I had to get gear so apologies if I missed anything

If you doing the main story, they should give you armor through out it which is all youll need

getting new gear at 56 if not doing the MSQ but at that point just do POTD if you are doing MSQ just take wath ever gear the game gives you and use it

Yeah it is. Equip better dungeon gear if you get them but there is no need to change gear between 50 and 60. Same applies to 60 and 70 and 70 and 80 pretty much

ummmmmm you are 100% wrong if you use lvl 70 gear in lvl 73 or above content you are seriously handicapping yourself and whatever group your with. If you totally upgrade the lvl 70 poetics gear it will last you until 73 at which point your doing the Il Mheg dungeon which will give you gear that is better then your Scaevening set.

aka literally what I said lol. 50-60 content is old enough now for the augmented end tier gear to carry you 10 levels and mid 70s you should upgrade to new dungeon or crafted gear

You're 100% wrong if you think augmented scavean gear isn't more than enough for 73 content. For DPS you can take the scavean through like 77 or 79, tanks and healers need to start replacing at 73-75 or health bars will drop quickly

you mean to tell me that OP should grind the dungeon to have a net neutral upgrade? The augmented scavean is literally the same as the 73 gear lol. That's why I said healers and tanks should upgrade at 75. I use ACT frequently and I can promise you that most DPS is lost by not pushing their buttons correctly rather than having gear that is 1 or 2 dungeons old

wha- no ♥♥♥♥ he should use quest/dungeon rewards if he gets them. I didn't even think that was a question?? There's an auto equip recommended gear button for a reason?

I'm not talking out of my ass here, I have plenty of experience in gulg. I've played all of the ShB dungeons more times than I can count. I've healed, tanked, and DPSed in partial scavean as well as healed, tanked, and DPSed for people that are equipped with scavean more times than I can count. It's not ideal but worst case scenario is the dungeon is just slower. Literally the majority of the problem is people not using cooldowns correctly in every position. I've tanked for FC mates in full scavean on gulg for fun when I was leveling DRK and we didn't wipe at all. Gear is literally barely an issue at all with the free ♥♥♥♥ you get from dungeons and MSQ if you have 2/3rds of a brain and use CDs
