Trying to make a Square Enix Account but keep getting error i2501

Hey, I know this may not be the best place to ask for help but the truth is that Square Enix Costumer support as been useless in trying to help me. I recently rebought the game as I have moved and I want to create a new account for a new region but every time I try to create a new account to enter the key I bought from steam I get Error i2501 after I insert the activation code. I have already checked all of the classic solutions submitted by SE support but none work. Could anyone help me out.

You don't need a new account to play in a different region, you can just select a different datacenter.

Same issue here for four days. support keeps telling me to make an account, I keep telling them I tried and get this error. Nobody will listen or help.

Made four accounts with four emails, submitted seven tickets to support, etc. Tried mog station, steam, square memebers, square store, original square website, there is no confirmation link, just a code and when you put in the code if tell you you cannot do this, contact support, and then support says one thing seven different ways and never replies back, forcing you to submit another ticket

I finally found a way to fix it. I tried making an account on my Ipad and I did not get an error so try to make the account and register the key on your mobile device it may work.

Try this (if you don't have an account):
1) delete a folder "FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn" in documents/my games
2) Delete appmanifest_39210.acf file in steam/steamapps folder
3) launch trial
4) create new account
5) if you see error i2501, close app
6) repeat 1), 2) and 3)
7) input login and pass, click and click to finish activation
8) play the game

Spent almost 30 mins on this error and finally figured it out.
Steam direct new account register doesn't work properly .
Solution:
1. Go to the square-enix official website and register a new account.
2. Go to the mogstation via the new account and then choose to get a new service account
3. Enter the register code provided from steam
End and then you can play via steam

I recently moved from Ps4 to Windows an I'm unable to login in with my newer password in-game steam client. My ID hasn't change so idk wtf is going on at squarecnix

You go to the square enix website and from there you can access mog station, there you can insert your steam cd key and it will redeem the game on your steam account

But that isn't true, we've all tried. show us. use screenshots and arrows and links and make is so easy us stupid people can do it

If i put the cd key in on my existing trial account, I get error i2501. same error if, from their website, I go to make a new account. I paid money for a game I can't play
