How fast is World Transfer?

My home world of Byrn something is usually full of people, I am thinking of switching to a less populated world...

Only free for a limtied period of timeand only for heavily populated worlds, dont know if Byrn is one of those.

I also think the free transfer is only free if you move to a new world or one with a very small population, as for the world transfer itself its very fast, it was instantaneous las time i switched worlds.

I would check the website to see if your world is one receiving a free transfer, and what you will get by swithing. If you swith withoud the 'free transfer' to a small populated world, i think there is a limit of how many gil you can take with you.

It is free if you transfer to the new or low population worlds.

On EU I transferred from Moogle to Omega and it was free, I also received gold chocobo feathers and gil bonus and all that.

As for the duration, the moment I initiated the transfer there was a queu of +2K to login on my server, yet the transfer completed within 2 minutes after I initiated it, so it's pretty fast.

Make sure your game is fully closed and you're also not logged in the launcher any more, just make sure your account connection is fully offline to minimize problems and reduce the time it will take.
