A fatal directx error 11000002
Ever since Stormblood I've been seeing a number of random CTDs with this error while using DirectX 11. Anyone know the cause or fix? I've tried a number of fixes including a clean instal of my drivers, turning off vsync, ect. Getting near my wits end...

OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
Version: 1607
OS Build: 14393.1358
Processor: AMD FX-8320 Eight-Core Processor 3.5 GHz
RAM: 16GB
GPU: AMD Radeon R9 380

Just did a clean uninstall again and rolled my drivers back to 16.11.5 per another thread I saw on the official forums. Will see if that works.

EDIT: Didn't work. Crashed 2 times within the past 30 minutes.

I had that same error yesterday. I had to turn off the Directx 11 option in settings. Also updated windows so all seems to be working well now. I've never DC'd in a game as much as I have in FF. It sucks. LOL

I went and did a clean install of the newest driver and switched to Direct X 9. No issues with that so far. However, that isn't much of a "resolution". Going to look into buying another GPU in the near future I guess which kinda sucks. This is literally the ONLY game that has this problem. I've seen a number of other threads on the main forum with no resolution besides give up and use Direct X 9 :steamsad:

If anyone knows a fix though please speak up. Myself and I'm sure others would be happy to hear something...

AMD released a fix in the 17.7.1 that fixed the DX 11 issues for FFXIV. If you're using an AMD card might want to install the updated drivers.

It's not ideal, but try running in DX9 until you figure out a fix for Nvidea cards. That was my work around before AMD fixed it for us AMD folks.

Is your GPU overclocked by chance? I've seen a couple of people in the Official Forums with Nvidia cards saying they fixed their issue by down clocking their GPU. Dunno if I would really call that a fix though.
