Bought and payed for but cant play?

Bought FFXIV on steam and played it for a while. Later I bought some more FF games and thus I reg on the square enix homepage. Now to the rub. The code used to activate FFXIV on steam is used, thus I cant use it to reg the game on SE. And now I need a one time password FROM square to play the game. But alas. That wont work because I dont have the game in their eyes. Is the only way around this to buy one of them small code device thingies?

One time Password are optional and not required to play the game. There is a free version but requires a smartphone that can download the app.
If you dont have one leave the box blank.

Your subscirption ran out is the most probable cause to why you cant play.
Log into the mogstation with your account and renew your subscription to continue playing.

No no no.. Bought the game on Steam. Played free for a month. Gave it up. Returned but its not reg in mog station (cus of the free month) just my account. The game is reg on Steam but cant download. Meh. Thats steam for you. Trying the trial now and if I like it buy it again I guess. Not on steam this time. Square Enix told me it was a Steam problem because they never gave Steam permission to sell it pre launch.

Have you tired taking the key steam gives you and registering it to mogstation?

Yep. They say its invalid. Since it was "used" when I installed the game using steam.
