Cant register stormblood key

Make sure it's a real SE key and not a steam key that needs to be redeemed on a different site.

well i forgot i had a windows account and steam codes cant be registered to it, the launcher wouldnt let me get to the part where you put in the key without having an active sub, so i bought game time for an account i cant register stormblood on. SE support would do nothing for me. I did get the right account my steam one, but im not buying more time for the account.

Just going to spend that on the competition, never seen such a ass backwards situation

Is it possible to give away my unused Stormblood key, as all the hype for me playing this has completely died

support cant do nothing for you?? I am sure they will tell you that you can get a refund from steam for the key and then buy a Windows key from the SE store or where ever. You can also redeem a key (for the correct version) without adding game time first.

steam wont refund it, not even an option. is there a way to get a hold of support via email or live chat so i can explain the situation and maybe they will have mercy?

This was taken from the Square Enix support site. It helped me register my Steam Key as you cant just register it as it's own item.

Steam Version

1. Steam users who have purchased FINAL FANTASY XIV: Stormblood on Steam can find their 20-digit registration code by opening Steam, navigating to the Library tab, and selecting “FINALFANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.” On the right-hand side of the game page, find the “Links” section and select “CD key.” The 20-digit game code is listed there.

2. Log in to the Mog Station (http://sqex.to/Msp) using the SQUARE ENIX Account you wish to register Stormblood to.

3. Select the "Your Account" tab on the top-left corner of the screen.

4. Select the service account you wish to register your code on. If you have multiple service accounts (represented as tabs named FINAL FANTASY XIV 1, 2, etc.), please select the service account that contains the characters you wish to access Stormblood with. If you only possess one service account, proceed to Step 5.

* Please verify that the service account you have selected displays the character names and Worlds that you wish to grant access to Stormblood content.

* Please be careful, as Stormblood access will only be granted to the service account that you select. Other services accounts will need a separate purchase of Stormblood in order to receive access.

5. After confirming your service account, select the "Enter the Registration Code for the Expansion" button.

6. Enter your 20-digit registration code, then click “Next.”

* Please make sure the letters are capitalized when entering the registration code.

7. Confirm details, then click “Next.”



*Steam users who have “Account Type:(Steam)” listed on their service account will only be able to redeem Steam codes on their account. Stormblood codes from other retailers for the Windows version will not work on a Steam account.

this does not work if you bought the base game some where other than steam
