I purchased the Aquamarine Carbuncle Mount from the Mog Station and it did get delivered however when I try to summon it it just comes up "unauthorised to summon mount" why is this? is there an in game requirement?

Any info on this would be appreciated.

Are you level 20 and did the my first chocobo quest? And also joined a grand company?

I'm level 23 I think and no I didn't get any quest that involves joining a grand company yet. I assume that's the requirement? if so I guess the only thing I can do is keep going with the story.

Why they made this so damn complicated is beyond me.

The mission to get the saddle is with a level 20 mission, specifically after defeating your first trial, if that is not so, look in your mail for the cards that you already have open, if you have more than 20 open starts to delete them so that the item you have purchased arrives.

Yeah it's there alright but I can't use it atm. I'm just saying that you should be able to use items you payed REAL money for right off the bat instead of having to go through all of this nonsense.

It warns this on the purchase page for the mount. The chocobo mount is unlocked through a quest.
