Extremely Bright!
I started in Limsa Lominsa and everything its just extremely bright. From the white marble floor to the dirt trail in the plains all seem to just radiate light. No settings seem to change this at all.

No Ambient Occlusion doesn't seem to change it at all.

Maybe Gamma? if not, try going from borderless/borderless fullscreen to fullscreen and see if that changes it.

You could try lowering the settings on your display. Maybe your display is set too bright and you didn't notice that before.
