older mmos that had these kind of things for example where :
daoc/aoc/gw2(this isnt that old tough)/some parts of aion (this was later sadly changed entirely)/ff11
there is probaly alot more i forget right now. some of these never raised thier max level cap either during thier lifetime. for a reason. max level is purely number bloat and doesnt actually serve a gameplay reason other than to force expac purchases in the end. skills can be added without doing that easy. this is a major downside of most modern mmos sady but i guess they care more about the money than actual gamedesign these days anyway from what i have seen. if you can get away and make money with cheap copy and paste why put in any effort?
P.S: I liked the stories on all expacs and I bought the game for the kitties and to casually explore everything, I didnt rush ♥♥♥♥ in this game until I was forced to buy it through steam and skipped all the content I already went through, hence my low game hours in it. So eat a ♥♥♥♥♥ trolls...
unfortunately, that's the majority of MMO's today. they cater to the hardcore to keep the game alive. as usual casuls get left out. that's just the way it is.
this doesn't help you and makes you as bad as them
Bear in mind this fact. There are only 3 ultimate raids out right now, and 4 "relevant" savage raids. These so called elitist raiders only get 4 raids per major patch, and 2 ultimate raids per expansion.
Meanwhile... Casual players get crafting, a plethora of dungeons, tome gear, hunts, boss fates, the hunting/fishing/sightseeing log, eUrEkA, and pretty much everything else in the game that isn't savage or ultimate and even then? Just about anyone can do the former. You're not expected to keep up, that's just you or your fc mates telling you that. Play at your own leisure.
As for the point about them not taking risks? They found a system they're comfortable with, and don't seem too interested in being bold. If you don't like it, no one is forcing you to play.
Say's the guy who has less that 24 hours total played. Which means you never played Heavensward or any expansion or at that rate any ARR major patches.
Yeah an the story had Zero progression in that time which just shows it's another generic mmo, hence all the wow refugees
To each their own I guess.
However, there have been three expacs since then, with dramatically superior writing, voiceovers, and plot. You really can't get a feel for this game as a whole in 25 hours.
That's sounds more like an personal opinion rather than an general fact honestly,
anyone could say the reverse since most of those games are either dead, dying (or in maintenance) or changed the way they handled end game gear due to the general populace
Savage raids are actually every other major patch. So the "elitist raiders" aren't getting another four savage raids until 5.4, which is going to be either at the end of this year, or early next year.
"No account for taste I guess" Really? Sure you found love in this game and now it only appeals to you. Same could go for me because I enjoyed what Black Desert offered in the beginning, wish more MMO's worked off their graphics style/engines and combat at least minus the P2W mechanics.
Prob should have disabled comments tbh, I wanted to put my OPINION out there for people to read and relate to and some have related to my opinion which is nice to know im not alone and maybe could hope to try again playing this game but the rest of you trolls here prove that I shouldn't bother returning. Can't take an opinion about your game? Don't bother commenting.
when you post something in a public forum, as long as the responses don't break forum rules then they have full right to post them.
you also can't disable comments on forum posts, only moderators can do that.
