FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

Performing music and user agreements.
I do not understand about the restrictions of certain music in FF14.
And I'm practicing "He's a pirate" from the Pirate of the Caribbean movie. If I perform that song in front of other players, am I gonna get banned?

It's possible, if unlikely. You're prohibited from reproducing copyrighted works. It's more to keep SqE out of hot water than anything else. That hasn't stopped any of the hundreds of bards I've heard playing Zelda music.

You're probably fine in game, but I'd advise against streaming it on Twitch or anything.

My Friends and I play all kinds of Songs, all the time. As Van GoghComplex wrote, just don't Stream it.

If you play some random copyright free Song, its fine, but if its a protected piece of music, it CAN happen. And if you play realy bad, noone will notice anyway XD

Oh, and if you play alone, in your House or Guild house. You will be fine too.

I think it the same Law, that tells you to not show a Movie in public, right?

The only people that get banned for it are the ones that video themselves and then upload it onto YouTube. So as long as you're not doing that you should be fine. I was just watching someone play "Carry On My Wayward Son" by Kansas the other day and they're not banned so you should be fine.

It's more of a 'protect ourselves' if their players violate copyright using the system.

It's very unlikely they'll go looking for violations in this instance.
