FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

Why isn't Shadowbringers on sale here like it is on the SE Store?
It really doesn't seem fair that people with the Steam Version get shafted like this. I mean, come on...

Currently standard practice, you HAVE to buy the expansion from Steam so they can forgo any sales on here for as long as possible to squeeze as much money out of the Steam users as they possibly can.

Bah.... That's just messed up.

Why isn't (x product) on sale in my supermarket like it is in yours right now? It really doesn't seem fair that people (in my area) get shafted like this...

/s

Jokes aside, Valve and SE are not the same company. They have the right to set their own sale prices and times, and are no obligation to coordinate.

*sigh* Fair enough. I mean, it's kinda screwy, but whatever. Business is business.

*shrug* Different businesses asking different prices for the same goods isn't really that screwy.

The only screwy part is locking players into whichever platform they bought first for all future expansions. Still not sure whether that one is SE's fault or Valve's fault.

Sigh... I have several friends that came from WoW wanting and waiting to start Heavensward but are super not happy with the game because of the whole steam lock thing, and lack of sale. I totally get it too, I would be pissed if it was on sale everywhere but I was forced to buy it at the one place its not.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a agreement between the two companies that steam cannot host any squareenix title on sale while it's posted as a sale on the SE site. As that would actively cut into se's profits. Steam takes a percentage of anything bought here so..

this is 100% on SE (thier account managemant is a mess hence why this was done probaly) for splitting the versions. and SE are also the ones who decide when steam gets a sale. the sole reason for the version split is the single ability to pay via steam wallet. sole reason. was stated multiple times.

That sucks, was of SQ store and see 50% off on Shadowbringers then run to Steam being sure there is also price cut but sadly NO.
C'mon SQ i know Steam take 30% cut so sale dont need to be 50% but 25% still can be nice but again NO.

P.S.
Is there a way to transfer maybe not account but one character to other account?? :p

Yawn.

Game is on sale for 7.99$ steam key version.

Or free from everywhere because you can find ARR free everywhere, Amazon Prime, Twitch Prime, Alienware Arena, etc.

OR

40$ and get all 3 xpacs.

OR 60$ for ARR, all 3 expacs, and 30 free days.

============================================

They dislike the game because they are locked to steam? Lack of sale? Are they on the free trial? Did they only buy the base game? Are they even at HW yet? Can you provide some kind of proof your allegations are correct? What level are they, job, etc?

Do they not read the steam page they buy games from?

"Note:
FINAL FANTASY XIV Online game packages available on Steam may only be registered and added on a Square Enix account that has the base game “FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Starter Edition" (or formerly known as "FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn”) purchased on Steam.

To view your 20 digit registration codes after purchase, simply right-click on “FINAL FANTASY XIV” in your Steam “Library” and select “View CD key” on the Steam client. The codes will always be accessible from this location should you ever need to reference them again.

The registration codes can be redeemed immediately on the Mog Station http://sqex.to/Msp. If this is your first time installing and registering "FINAL FANTASY XIV Online", you may redeem your registration codes during the initial installation process."

See ^^ right there.

So, they are mad because they are locked to steam yet, Steam offers a BIG text print for you to see right away on the FF XIV store page.

So they did not read and now their mad and now you are here virtue signaling for them?

They sound like the kind of dog crap players who whine that everything is not giving to you right away or the game is not stale and boring like WoW is.

Heavensward and all it's content is worth 100$ alone and their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about having to pay 40$/60$ for EVERYTHING the game has to offer.....THAT is sad as hell.

Nobody would want to play with people who whine about the dumbest and pettiest of things.

=============================================

But then again, for 40$ you get all xpacs......had a dude yesterday and their in my FC now, who bought it, steam version, the COMPLETE COLLECTION for about 27$ I believe.

Normal people, people who don't whine about the dumbest and pettiest of things, would have already bought the complete edition, as it costs less than new "AAA" games out right now.

On top of that, you pay 40$ for what WE, the real players, paid 60$ for HW, 60$ for SB and 60$ for SHB. That's 180$. Or 40$ each for standard. that's still 120$.

We paid 180$/120$ your "friends" have to pay 40$ or less...........

============================================

Nah, you're right though dude, so unfair to the new people who get EVERYTHING for 40$/60$.......instead of 120$ to 180$.

Maybe they'll have it on a January sale or something?

It's usually mid next year after an expansion when you see steam discounts on it. It's been that way with Heavensward and Stormblood.
