The game would be 100% rmt all the time at that rate.
Gil farmers make gil to pay their subs to continue selling gil to people........LOGIC.
I'll repeat:
"HELL NO AND THANK GOD WE CANT.
The game would be 100% RMT all the time at that rate.
Gil farmers make gil to pay their subs to continue selling gil to people........LOGIC."
I don't want RMT and bots infesting the game.
Maybe that.
Not that I'm not with you here, because I am, but RMT is already a problem without being able to buy your sub in-game.
The reason why I think it won't work here though is because the value of gil is relatively stable and the economy in this game is doing decent. Games like GW2 or Runescape that allow you to purchase currency or sub time with in-game money likely only start doing that because of the way inflation in those games occurred.
I fear for the value of gil and what it could do to the market if they started doing this since paying SE with in-game money removes that currency from the game. The way things stand now, most transactions are player-to-player so earned currency stays in circulation and ensures the stability of gil value.
That's the way I see it anyway.
You misunderstand dude, I don't want RMT and bots everywhere.
I already have to deal with the few that get purged and purged they get.
But if you open subs to RMT, and they will use them, every other player will be an RMT bot.
So, let's go ahead and not kid our selves, there is not a million RMT bots in the game. Not even close.
I have yet to see a single one since the purge.
SECOND, no, it's a crappy idea for a reason, the sub pays the bills and keeps the content flowing.
Cut that off because people can just buy gil to stay subbed and never support the game therefore the game will get shut down or do...IDK...maybe like WoW is doing...poorly.
Please no more ideas like this. FF XIV is way smarter than WoW and already stated a million times they will NEVER let you pay your sub with gil because it's a failure of a business model.
Actually think about, real hard, not from a cheapskate, i dont want to pay, kind of thinking but like a business.
Makes no sense from a business standpoint at all.
I played the game a little bit like a 1.5 years ago and thought it was OK and got to like lvl 10. Here people are claiming this is really good. I guess I never made it far enough into the game to see this. I mean it wasn't bad if you like doing fetch and gather quests a lot.
Does SE offer any level boosting?
As for the possibility of buying game time with ingame currency - do not count on it in the foreseeable future. It is a really bad monetization option that usually appears when games go downhill. In contrast to that, FFXIV is on the rise.
Yes there is level boosting and story boosting stuff in the mogstore.
