fully automatic paypal subscription

hello everyone, i would love to get an fully automatic subscription for this game but i don't have a credit card and don't ever want one so is it possible to get an fully automatic subscription with paypal?

Just get a credit card. You need to be building credit anyway and mmos are great for that.

Not really, I double checked there wasn't paypal, when I paid the day before yesterday.

SE is very back in the day when it comes to technical things for some reason. and payment options are not an exception. the only way to pay via paypal is to buy crysta and use these to prolong your sub then. so kinda like most stuff SE adds to the game aswell : overly complex for no good reason. most recent example is glamor dresser.

yes they could atract thousands of more users just by adding paypal as an payment option for recurring subscriptions. yes i could use crysta as a payment methot but then i still have to add it manually and what happens when i don't have any crysta on my account and the next billing cycle comes?

Then get a Debit Card or a pre-paid card. Both work. Debit Cards are simply a "credit card" that draws directly from your bank account and uses no form of credit. Pay the same way, work differently. Pre-Paid cards usually have some sort of refill system and as long as you keep it up, they'll go through. You can get those at pretty much any supermarket or Wal-Mart.

yes that is possible however here in my country (the netherlands) i still need to put money on them making it not fully automatic, so i guess the only way to do it fully automatic is either a real credit card (which i am not getting) or paypal (which square enix sadly only supports for crysta and non automatic steam payments which both are not fully automatic). even the competitor mmorpg games have the option for paypal and it probadly draws in many more players if paypal is an option. i think it's weird they thought adding paypal for crysta would be good but somehow didn't think it would be good to add paypal as a general subscription option

Real Credit Cads and Paypal are just as "not automatic" as the other two options. You need to fill a paypal account, else link it to a bank which in both cases makes it the same thing as a debit card. You need to pay credit cards off, which is virtually the same thing as depositing money in a bank account, just with fees involved. :/

they could yes. but why make things easy when you can make them complicated? thats SE for you. sorry to say it like that but they always do some things overly complex for no good reason and stay away from complex when it would be a good thing. i guess its issues within the company itself that cause this.

as for your question : your sub would simply expire if there is no crysta on your account anymore. thats pretty much all that happens. you can simply reopen your sub by buying crysta and adding it again at anytime afterwards. i rarely sub for more than 1 month as the entry sub fee is cheaper and 2nd characters are fairly pointless in this game by default.

They likely want to avoid all the paypal scammers from china. It's way too easy to do a chargeback there

Just get a debit card for your bank account, should be easy ^^

thank you for your answer, so if i have no crysta and then when the next billing date comes my subscription expires, then when i add new crysta will my subscription automatically restart or do i have to restart it manually?

thank you all for your answers, i will try contacting square enix support to see what they can say about it and otherwise i will stick to the one time steam payment and have to purchase game time manually each month, that's just the way it is then
