FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

Is it legal to buy a high summoner attire code?
I really want this outfit. Is it illegal or against the rules to buy it from another player? What would be the safest way to do it if it isnt against the rules?

Ok I won't, thanks

Any idea when it will go on mogstation, based on previous things that have ended up there?

It is not illegal. The police will not arrest you for doing it.
if it's a mogstation outfit why can't they simply gift it to you and you pay them for that gift, then how is it against the TOS? just wondering.

it's not on Mogstation, it's a bonus item for buying tickets to the Fan Festival.

Fairly certain you can still buy the archive for Fan Fest and get a code that way

if someone is handing you that code, just get it.
it has nothing to do with in-game accounts.

its a code, something given to him as a bonus for buying a ticket.
its in no way account bound or illegal to give it to someone else.

Being given it is fine. Buying it, as stated in the title of the thread, is against TOS:

2.2 Real Money Trading, Farming and Power-Leveling. You may not sell, purchase or exchange for real-world money or value any in-game currency, accounts, characters, in-game services, or in-game virtual items. You may not play the Game for the purpose of acquiring virtual items or advancement in game play on behalf of a third-party or for the purpose of selling any virtual assets to a third party for real-world money, specifically including "gold-farming" and power-leveling services.

If you were to buy it with gil, that would probably be fine--there might be some brow-furrowing from the GMs but I doubt they'd do anything about it. Buying it with real money is, as I just said, very much against TOS. But I don't know if anyone is going to part with that code for just gil. Even what could be callled a "reasonable sum" would be comically high.

with that code, which is still not an in-game item at that point but only the unlocker, you cant go wrong.
i mean its a code, not something thats already digitally inside the game yet.
its still physical.

It's still RMT and thus not worth the risk.

Yeah it's being sold on ebay for real money so it would be RMT.

Can anyone confirm that I can buy the fanfest archive and still get the high summoner attire code please?

"Please Note
The content of the Las Vegas, Tokyo, and Frankfurt Fan Festival streams are different and each show’s live stream includes different minion bonus items.
Please note that purchasing the Frankfurt stream will not grant access to the other Fan Festival live streams.
The archived footage, coupled with the in-game bonus item code, will no longer be available for purchase after August 31, 2017."

So no, it's no longer purchaseable this way. It also seems the codes all expired before 2018 so the high summoner attire is very much dead for anyone who didn't obtain before I even started to play this game D:

Just wish I could find a nice looking healer set. They all either look like overdesigned world of warcraft robes, or that horribly frumpy looking cleric set with the knee length skirt and the hood hanging down the back so far out you could use it as a bookshelf. I'd pay just for a WHM robe that looks like Refia's robe XD

HW WHM set looks like something an ascian would wear except in white, and the SB WHM set looks like the queen from alice in wonderland.

Anyway I'll give up on High Summoner Attire til they release it on mogstation

I'd be down for that, I'm all for new twists on classic class designs, especially Black and White Mage.

My problem with the HW set is I could never find the right boots for it. I love the SB set but I don't like the...whatever it is, the paper fan looking thing on the back.

Yes, that thing makes it look like the queen from alice in wonderland I think. Not too keen on the leggings colouring either. I'd love something that looks like the female acolyte from Ragnarok Online, or the outfit Sixth Saint Astraea wears in Demon's Souls

Just never use in game chat to make real money transactions and you are good.
