FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

How many friends you need to play in end content?
It sounds like a silly question, I know.

I'm a current WOW player, so for that game I know you have to have at least a 15+ active players to get to end content and everything (Mythic Raids and so on).

However I'm fairly alone when it comes to FFXIV and would like to know: How many friends must I convert to FF in order to achieve such goal? I don't know if you guys have raids with bunchs of people, or if a simply squad of 5 would do.

While I'm at it. As long as I pay the subscription, the game doesn't hold any microtransaction, right?

Thanks in advance!

1. The game features a duty finder, it lets you queue for the vast majority of instanced content the game offers. You unlock duties as you progress through the game. You can queue solo and you'll be matched with people. Older content is kept relevant through dailies so you won't need premade parties generally speaking

2. The game has a cash shop called mogstation, it sells outfits and emotes from past seasonal events, but some stuff is made directly for it. It also sells job level boosts that instantly put you at level 60 (out of 70) for a particular job. There's also story skip potions that do what it says on the can, skip the entirety of the main story quests until heavensward or stormblood

3. Raids have 2 flavors, normal raids pit a full party of 8 members against a dungeon and/or boss, whereas alliance raids have 3 teams of 8 players, called alliances, facing similar but generally harder content

Depends , Extreme Trials are 8 players , normal 4 , sometimes 6, raids are 8x3 party and dungeon 4 players. PvP is meh. The strong endcontent of this game is PvE mechanics. WoW is no where near FFXIV

I'm confused about this 8x3 raids. The 24 (8x3) players needs to be in the same guild, or we can queue in some place?

Thanks tho.

Edit: Its 24 players. Thanks!

No, truly since Duty roullete, you can have as many friends as you like to help you, but overall anything can be solo'd.

You be alone with random people in 24 man groups, or you can have full Party (8 players).

Later 8 Man groups like Extreme Savage and Ultimate Trials will not have many people in Random Queues, as most like people with knowledge or putting groups for people to learn and teach, rather then mixing them up. As such most people will do, pre-made 8 mans, while if you don't have 8 friends you can still grab people across servers to help.

Really usefull information. Although I have a solid guild in WOW, it would be me and 2 friends mostly, so we are wondering how the end content works.

Personally speaking I find it appealing that a lot of the content is solo'd, since I actually prefer due to current time restrains.

Ty a bunch.

Raids are 8man. Yes having a static is better. But you can also PUG your raids since you can just replace people from the 8. I find it better this way. Personally I cleared all the raids via pugging(yes it takes longer). There are populated discord servers that can help you recruit people or be recruited. Also there are discord servers for class help(The balance discord is focused on improving your skill with the desired class).

1 thing I'll let you in on. There is a PARSE(dps meter). But it's like the fight club. You are allowed to use it. But you never talk about it IN-CHAT IN THE GAME EVER, you risk getting banned.

Edit: The shop is for cosmetics, LVL boosts, story skips, furniture for your house, mounts, emotes.

End game raids 2 tanks 2 healers 4 dps
most "END game" is 8 player
but there are 24 man raids 3 tank 6 healers and rest are dps
But 24 man raids are not hard and donnt give better gear then the savage raids
Hope this helps.
