A Mac liscence can be added to an account with a Steam account, or a PC account, but in either case you would need to purchase the expansions on Mac too. Your monthly sub would cover both PC and Mac however, I believe.
Steam>Windows>Mac>Playstation
you would have to buy the versions seperete
the only Plus of having it on steam really is the convenience of it being in your libary and a log of your hours played (also the fact you can pay your monthly sub through steam.
steam is not a client for this game meaning there is still a personal launcher for updates.
steam will not auto update patches etc
with buying off steam you can take advantage of discounts and a little less stress of getting your account activated. (going by how many threads i see of people not understanding how the activation works)
I downloaded the free trial directly from Square Enix. So, I'm nervous if I buy the steam key it won't active, or it'll make me start over. I'd rather have it via steam.
Game is cool so far, reminds me of just a better FFXI.
But it's pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lonely. No one talks.
I'm on Goblin server for XP boost. How the hell do I join a "FC" to just chill with people?
