FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

Chocobo bag double edged
I was like " WAHOO I get a lot of bag slots now!
I put some sutff in it that I will need for later.
"I know i will put in my greens so I can summon my bird with I need to in that bag."
Greens do not register in my bar.
"oh that is odd."
So I use it to sore gear for my other classes with the seals I earn.
Gear is registered as not there when I go get more.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF......................AAAAAAAAAH
Ok what is the BEST use for the damn bags if putting anything in it is like putting it in its own pocket world?!

Stuff that you want to have on you but don't really need for the time being. When you do need it, take it out and place it in your inventory, then put it back in the saddlebag when you're done.

Store specific stuff in it that you will rarely obtain or use again and have a category that you will remember to check and pull out when you do need it. For instance, do not store crafting items or consumables there that you use frequently anyway. Store equipment that you're temporarily not using, event items that you can't bear to throw away, items that you don't need but haven't got around to selling yet (of course you can just use retainers for the latter) but still want to keep close at hand.

I like to stuff collectables in there since they take up hella room and don't stack. For example I'll fish for Sweatfish until it and my inventory are full and then reduce it all for a big fat stacks of Everdeep Aethersand for the marketboard.

As Dan and Elazul have stated, store stuff you're not going to need immediately.

Examples from my end: Gold Chocobo Feathers (I'm saving for that Twintania mount), the drops from the fox lady and Ixion boss FATEs (until I have enough to turn in), gardening supplies (seeds and soil, for when I get back into gardening), and raid tokens.

I still keep my fishing tackle on me, in the off chance I decide to go fishing again (really wish they'd give us a seperate tackle box, so I can stop wasting ~25 slots on it).

I mostly use the Chocobo Bag for fishing bait and dyes. XD

I think the best way to organize it is like packing a suitcase for a holiday, take only the essentials. ^^

I store collectibles, dye, prisms, materia and such in there.

Collectables, materia, primal totems, crafting materials, Delta/Sigma/Alexander trade-in items, crafting materials, bait, misc gathered stuff...

Basically this, stuff you won't use but still hold onto cuz reasons.

I personally store:

Materia - if I feel like I'm gonna meld something, open CSBag and peruse.

Crafting Materials (including demimateria) - if I don't use them frequently enough to warrent them being in my open-inventory, the CSBag is the perfect way to lug them around without losing free slots. I use retainers for the mats I'm super-duper-mega unlikely to use for the forseeable future, and my standard inventory for mats I know I'll be using all the damn time.

Things-I-Know-I'll-Use-But-Don't-Want-To-Store-Via-Retainers:
- Rowena Tokens
- Delta/Sigma Drops
- Specific Currencies
