Will steam version of storm blood work with stand alonce ff14?

So I have got ff14 arr plus heavensward as a non steam version and i would like to buy stormblood on steam because of 50% promotion and now is my question will it work outside of steam ?

if you buy storm blood through steam you will not be able to use it out of steam. You have to buy the whole game through steam for the sale price

At the moment there is more sense in buying whole game here for 22gbp then stormblood expansion on moggle station for 30gbp wth ?

yes you are able to use the same account across all versions of the game PC and console! I have purchased the game 3 times so my answer would be to buy it on here if you see it for a good price overall!

That's incorrect. To actually use a Steam key on a Mogstation account with a non-Steam PC version registered would require starting a new service account. The Steam version of the base game is totally incompatible with non-Steam PC versions of the expansions and vice versa.

now moving from SE launcher to this launcher might be a different story but I have used the same account on 3 different platforms with 0 issues.

but I wouldnt see if the issue with moving from SE launcher to Steam if I was able to switch from a whole console to steam.

You can use PC, PS4 and Mac on the same account. You can't use Retail PC and Steam version on the same account.

Switching from consoles to PC works, switching from Steam to non-Steam PC does not work.
