You can get far more than that IF you put some effort into it. Since the start of the current event, i've obtained a little less than 300k (without counting the amount i already had before it). So yes, you could get those 600k if you actually wanted

It's easy. I've already gotten all three machines plus i'm on my way towards the archon chair mount(don't even want it just getting it cause its the last thing I need from there). Not even doing it super hard core either. All i'm doing is doing every challenge in the challenge log under Gold Saucer, doing the Fashion Report every week, doing the daily Cactpot ticket thing, the weekly Jumbo cactpot tickets, and finally the most important part: Farm the GATE events at every 15 and 45 minutes past the hour. Takes a couple minutes of your time and you get thousands per hour. If you really want to grind in between those spam Chocobo racing. EZ-PZ lemon squeezy!

Do the botany minigame in the Gold Saucer and no-life it.
With an FC Buff and Titan-Mode you get, if you got some practise, up to 1k per Game.

And do R-300 Chocobo Race so you don't get that bored and watch netflix(You don't really need to pay attention to it, much less than the botany minigame. Its easy if you have a perfect chocobo)
And there are almost no real players, because almost noone does this grind, but if you do it. then you can semi afk, or almost afk(with super sprint ability). Almost always 1st place.

But if you can't do this, stick to the botany minigame(not the miner one!) and just grind your soul out.
tbh they should be 100k MGP each, not 300. 900k is a little bit much for the casual playerbase, even for no life loosers like myself.

Also do Gates.
