the waking sands problem
with the amount of times you have to go here you would think they would put a warp there! I mean you could take the fairy but that still ends up being the same amount of time going there from horizon

I got good mount speed in that zone for me its about the same time

There's a lore explanation for it, but I think using lore as an excuse for poor design is just bad form. It's a pain, but eventually they move an their new place has an Aetheryte right outside.

its like every other quest is "GO BACK TO THE WAKING SANDS" I am actuly just getting back into the game and I over leveled by alot by mistake so I did pretty much the whole story overleveled, and I still am (at level 55 doing the 50 stuff trying to get to hevensward before I hit 60 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around lol but to have to go back to the same spot like 5 or 6 times in less than a hour is really really annoying lol

That's the ARR story line for ya.

Just make the Aetherite a favourite and it will be much cheaper to port there all the time.

I'm a Lominsan crafter so my free warp is set to Lominsa pretty much all the time.

I find a warp to Lominsa > Arcanists guild > Vesper Bay for the 80p fee is well quick enough for the regular Waking Sands visits in the early game.
By the time you hit Heavensward you'll hardly be going there at all. Just do the Limsa Lominsa trick that Frankbrodie mentioned. It really is the easiest way.

Waking sands was one if the big reasons I hated ARRs story, yet loved havensward.

The ferry is faster if you have the game on a SSD due to the quick load times. But yeah I absolutely hated going there after a while back in the day.

The waking sands is suppose to house the Scions of the Seven Dawn, which is suppose to be a Hidden Organization. The Waking Sands is a Offset location trying to stay more into Neutral Territory while having access to most areas, Putting a Warp zone into a more closed area would bring more suspicion and far more unwanted guests. Putting it into a City state would get it too much restrictions to their operations.

Luckily later on, it becomes a disclosed area, being traded for the Horizon in Mor Dhona, which is far better.

Translation: Blah blah blah lore lore blah blah

It becomes Mor Dhona and Mor Dhona has an aetheryte right outside.

No excuse.

Never use ''lore'' excuses for garbage design.
especially considering everyone can get a private aetheryte crystal for their housing, can't see why the Scions can't modernize a bit and get an employee aetheryte crystal in their lobby.
