how the hell do i beat general ran'jit?

(for anyone who doesnt wanna know about this fight)

i get him all the way down to when he summons the phoenix things. i have tried killing the phoenix, then attacking him, i have tried ignoring the phoenix and just focusing him, i have bought intelligence potions, blow every cd i have and he still one shots me before i can kill him. I'm on my 6th try and about to quit this expansion entirely. how is it i can't beat him with all cooldown blown at once, and intelligence pots? this fight is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t. what is the trick here?

Edit: im referring to the final fight, when your storming eulmore to kill the final lightwarden right after you kill the 2 jesters

there is multiple things to kill in that phase isnt there?

What quest are you on cause early in the story he just does an Iwin and just ko's you to 1% and thats intended.

If it's the second fght You have to kill all the dragon heads first and then him before he charges his big attack.
It took me 2 tries with my dancer, I imagine it's a bit harder with a less mobile class.

When you get to the final part you just have to kill the dragon heads and then him. I was able to do this as a White Mage with plenty of time to spare. If you are struggling, you should look up a bit about your rotation, and save your strongest damage dealing abilities and cooldowns for that section. Also you could consider doing the previous dungeon repeatably for better equipment, or levelling a damage dealer class if you are not one.

Haha thats a good one. I was thinking the first Eden boss, Eden Prime's limit break would be good for that one as well since its so over the top and literally shoots you into the sun XD

I found that just a bit of patience is how to deal with him, make use of you're healing option and read his dialogue to know when you need to use the duty action. I got him in a 1st attempt, but it was somewhat of a long battle. just crack at him and he'll be down in no time. Cool fight though.
