i saw a guide on google on how many quests you have to complete, so many arcs after you reach lvl 50 in the main story that you had to do just to get to heavensward,

my quesstion is , any1 know how long it would take to complete all this? are we talking days or just rushing it in a single day? , seems like overwhelmingly many quests

Some people can go through it in a week, if you are not rushing it, and you do stuff like Crystal Towers, extra level 50 dungeons, etc. you can take about a month to complete. If you cut off cutscenes, it maybe shorter

You're going to buy shadowbringers at the end of your astral era quests, not heavensward.

I pushed hard to finish those 100 quests as efficiently as possible and did it in 5 days. You can sort out all 100 into 6 story arcs. So one story arc per day. The last two can also be done in a day. I skipped almost all the dialogue and just read the journal entries as soon as the dialogue completed. The entries not only give you directions on your next objectives, but they also neatly summarize the dialogue you just skipped. You'll actually pick up all of the narrative and objective info in one go. It'll save you many hours if you care for it. The last two quests in this marathon will be two very long cutscenes. YouTube them and watch it at 2x speed.

I would personally get these quests out of the way before exploring other stuff since there are so many filler quests it could lead to burnouts if you're doing other stuff and finding your progress chugging.

There was one individual who invested hundreds of hours doing a lot of other stuff while occasionally doing the msq. He quit way before he finished it because it felt like he was never getting anywhere with the msq (the quests suck, the story is fine). He made a forum post about it. I think many could also fall into that trap. So I'd just get the painful bits out of the way first.

For me, it took about 5 days just marathoning the MSQ with Dungeons and Trials to help soothe my soul.

It honestly isn't that bad, just tedious. Man though is it rewarding when you get to the point the quality spikes.

MSQ is brutal to me and burnt me out a bit being like 100+ boring fetch filler quests. :/
