Why can't I join Cerberus server?

I downloaded the demo to play with my friend on Cerberus server (Chaos) but the server is full.
I'm trying it for 2 days now but the it seems like no one is deleting any character from that server. I'm not gonna spend 18€ for a character transfer...

Is there a way to sneak my way into the server? It's been 2 days!

Because it's congested and it won't change untill 5.1 in october or so, you can't make or transfer a character there now. Either make a char on another server and use world visit, ask your friend to transfer or refund the game via chargeback so that you get permanently banned.

It always fluxes now and then, been that way for years. Check the Lodestones Server Status now and then, you may find it open up.

Though congested servers rarely get open.

Sometimes you can make characters after the server comes up after maintanance on tuesdays.

There are two cases where you cannot make characters.

1. The server is marked as congested.
This is where they are manually set by SE and characters can not be made, or transferred to the world.

2. There are a lot of people online.
This is done automatically by the system and updates frequently. You can still create characters, but will have to wait until there are less people online.
You can also transfer to these at any time.



You could also just create a character on the same datacenter, and using an aetherite in the main cities, you can world visit to your friend's server.

You will be restricted in a few things while there, but you can mostly play on their server.

Can't use moogle mail - will still be shown when there's new mai but you have to return home to access.
Can't use your retainers while visiting.
Can buy off the market, but not sell on it.
Can not use free company features.
Can not use linkshells.
Can not use housing.
Can not eternal bond.
Can not use a few of the gold saucer features, cactpot, verminion tournaments, triple triad tournaments.
Deep dungeon results will not be saved to leaderboards.
Can not access legendary and unspoiled gathering nodes.
