It did nothing new really. It just learned from every other mmo what worked and cut what didn't. But its nice to see the old bait. :D
What did it do different ? Basically it's wow if wow was done in 2014. It didn't reinvented the genre, but redid everything better.
technically warcraft is a ripoff of warhammer and starcraft is a rip off of 40k
Starcraft really only has visual similarities to 40K... Because the story is hilariously worse than 40K...
