Help where the heart is (mist) mission

I'm trying to do this mission to get into mist but every time I run into the entryway to get to missed it says you were unable to leave the area it's a recommended level 5 Mission but I'm level 17 but I can't get to the area because it won't let me leave the area and I can't find anything online about this

Okay first of all may I advise you to put the mission in question between quotation marks next time? It helps figuring out what you're talking about. Barring that

I'm thinking you're talking about "Where the Heart is" whilst in the Limsa Lominsa area. To complete it talk to the NPC (!!!!) next to the entry gate to Mist and select one of the 31 area's available to you (any will do) and at the bottom confirm this selection.
You'll be transported to Limsa's residential area (where players can buy houses) at which point you can talk to an NPC a slight distance from the entrance to continue this quest.

You can leave again by talking to the ferryman near the entrance of the residential district or simply teleport out

That's the thing when I select it the exact thing that happens it says in big bold red letters unable to leave the area and then it puts me right back and front of the gate I've talked to the NPC I can select a ward but when I select the war to go to the ward it says unable to leave the area this is what I'm trying to figure out

ehrm....stupid question maybe but are you on a trial account? Because that's just about the only reason I can think of as to why you wouldn't be able to enter a residential district. Have you tried from the main Aetheryte in Limsa too? (Select the aetheryte, select move to residential area, select ward, go)

Are you on Spriggian for Twintania by any chance?

All housing areas are currently locked on the 2 new EU servers, you'll need to world visit to another server to complete them (Aetheryte main city->world visit)

No idea, world visit to complete them now if you "need" to complete them.
