FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

Unlimited free trial expired?
I've been playing the game on the free trial until lv 35 for quite some time (about an year or so)
Haven't been playing it on the last 2~3 months tho

Today i try to login and the launcher gives me the message that "FINAL FANTASY XIV has not yet been registered with this service account or your subscription has expired."

When loging in on Mog station it shows my character and that my account type is "free trial"

anyone knows something about this?

My experience is that I can't launch this game anymore through steam or else I will get the same message you got.

I need to launch the game through the ffxivboot.exe which is located in
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY XIV Online\boot

you can easily access this by rightclicking on FINAL FANTASY XIV ONLINE in your steam library, clicking properties on the lower end > browse local files > navigate to "boot" folder > and start ffxivboot.exe

Oh
Thanks, it worked

Another question tho, is the subscription through steam still working?

I would not use steam anymore to play this game.

I have two accounts one made off-steam and one made on-steam, I wasn't even allowed to enter either.
Paying directly through the "Mogry Station" has been more consistent than using Steam or paying through Steam regarding this game.

I had this same problem. I installed the free trial via steam after not playing the game for a year.
The problem is that you need to install the game on the same "platform" you used to register your free trial.
For me, i installed the free trial application from the square enix website instead of steam and this fixed my problem.
This is likely due to the fact that i probably registered my free account via the square-enix download and not steam.
Hope this helps anyone still looking for an answer!
