Was gifted Stormblood (+Heavensward) How do I install it?
The DLC says it's "installed" but in game it says I don't have the expansions. Any help appreciated. I found the CD key, but it's not compatible with the Mog Station site.

You have to register the CD key in the Mogstation under "Enter the Registration Code for the Expansion".

If it says the code is invalid you either entered it in the wrong place or your registerd base game key is not a Steam key. If that's the case then the Steam version of the expansion won't work and you need a non-Steam version.

Yea I did that. It does say "code invalid" even after double checking that I was using the Stormblood key, not the base game key. Confirmed that the Steam version of the expansion is not working on Mog Station...I thought I said that in the first post.

I was asking how I install the Steam version.

That is how you instal the Steam version or any version for that matter it's all done through the account managment website Mogstation.

If its invalid then you need to check what region you bought the base game for, what region for friend bought it for, if you owned the game outside of steam or played any of the betas.

Is your account steam or retail? Is the gift steam or retail. Only steam expansion works with steam account and retail expansion works with retail account.

This is so confusing. How do i tell what version i have?
the person who gifted it to me is in europe and i'm in the US, does that matter?

Yes, the game account is region locked. Your NA account will not accept any non-NA codes. Refund them and buy them again yourself from the Steam store.
