Crashing in Middle La Noscea
I'd been having a problem witgh the game crashing occasionally, and it only ever happened in Middle La Noscea, I thought it might have just been a coincidence, but after 8 hours of the game running flawlessly in Gridania, as soon as II try and go througuh Middle La Noscea to get on with the main quest, my computer froze up and I had to pull the power lead to reset it.

Can anybody help me with this? I've tried playing in Fullscreen because someone told me it might have been an issue with Borderless Windowed mode and the FCU for Windows 10, but apparently that wasnt anything to do with it.

If you can, try swapping your graphics card with another one. It could be that your gpu has a defect. Also check that your memory and any other cards are fully seated. Running a memory test would be a good idea too.

I dont have a spare graphics card, and I highly doubt my one is defective, since it only ever runs into problems in this one area of the game, and only in this game, and its not like my screen freezes, my whole PC freezes, the power button wont even turn the PC off, I have to pull the power lead from the back of it, also all my memory fine

while you don't experience it in any other games or any other areas of FF14, what you describe sounds like a hardware problem (not software).

I'd suspect GPU or Power supply based on what you said. Check your voltages under load with a tool like CPUID HWMonitor.

Its definatly only there, and my hardware is fine, it ONLY happens in the one area, It did it again about 20 minutes ago, I was just running through the area on a chocobo to go meet upp with a friend, and it froze my PC. Its past any chance of being a coincidence.

Sounds like a corrupted file, then.

Note that you do NOT want to verify the game files through Steam. That will force you to reinstall basically everything, since the version Steam checks against isn't the latest one. You should be able to verify the files through the launcher, if I recall right, which won't have that issue.

I mean, I've got the next few days where I wont be home, so I'll just reinstall it while I'm gone xD

Friend, do you remember how you solved this problem? Otherwise, I have the same thing. I don't know what to do. It is impossible to play.
