These are the ports you want OPEN and preferrably FORWARDED to your computer's IP address. The range 55290 and above is specially important because these are the ports that the game is actually downloaded over. Firewalls sometimes block this but routers almost ALWAYS block these because general internet users never touch these ports, so they assume them to be security risks. (Reality is, if you're gonna be hacked anyone who wants to would just use Port 80 via some simple tricks.)
So this is almost fully dependant on your router settings. Familiarize yourself with them, open up the right ports and you won't have a problem. I typically download patches at 5.50 mbps and that's only because I'm mindful of the rest of the house's internet usage.
Has almost nothing to do with torrenting clients whatsoever. It's amusing how much you profess to love this game but keep trying to make any quip you possibly can even when there's nothing behind it other than a need to stir up something. If you can provide evidence of low quality servers that disproves basic torrenting protocols and ISP issues, please by all means provide it. Otherwise stop with the cheap shots.
