"Drowning out the Voices" quest too hard!!

I can't beat this quest...those plasmoids are some of the toughest creatures I've come across so far in the game. I have to kill three plasmoids at once...I don't know how to do that. I've died more than 15 times attempting this and even buffing my level 48 thaumaturge. Is there some kind of potion to be immune against electricity?

I need potions to increase my electricity resistance, but I don't know of any after searching. How do I get my Chocobo to fight??

Check your gear matches your level.
Grab some healing potions.
Sleep the mobs your not attacking.

Also google how to unlock your chocobo so you can summon it.

You dont need a potion.

To summon your chocobo companion:

If you dont have your chocobo mount yet:

if you have the mount but cant summon it as companion:

And yea really - check your gear, see for what level it is.
Level the character / class really doesnt do enough if your gear is bad . . .

I've lvled every class to 70 and i can safely say that the black mages quests were the hardest out of all of them. Chances are your gear is either out of date, your not using all the skills you have, or you aren't prioritizing something important in the duty.

Never thought people couldn't even clear main story quest instance quests.

They were always stupidly simple.

Okay, the chocobo companion is really helpful, especially with his heal action.. I just got past this part today, but barely. My gear is pretty okay, I just need to meld materia onto my gear, and I have that action, but just not high enough level of DoH.

You're probably a WoW veteran and it may seem easy, but not for me. I'm not used to MMO's and I've died at least 500 times so far lol.

You don't need materia for main story, you never need to meld until endgame.

Gear and skill is the two most important things.

Bad gear? Do dungeons

Low skill? Learn the job
