Issue with FFXIV official Forum registration: Can't choose my character to associate it with....

Hi,
So I wanted to just register in case I ever want to post a question or reply on their official FFXIV forum. I did register but you can't start to post unless you associate a character with your profile :

Your Current Main Character

Main character has not been selected yet.
Please select the main character from the menu shown below.
* You cannot use the forum service until the main character is selected.

I actually have two though one I made and don't use. I basically have logged on her to just retrieve items that end up on her being all character items that I have ended up with through FFXIV so I want to choose my main character obviously.

So I click on that one, it highlights and then I go to click save ( I"ve tried this many times) and it still doesn't link. Nothing happens and no message indicating an error or why this should be happening.

I was wondering if anyone came across this issue and found a resolution to it?
Or maybe they know why this is happening?

I tried this in two different browsers just to make sure it wasn't because it wasn't working in chrome but that's not it.

I emailed them a while back but they just told me they can't resolve this issue via email and I'd have to call them. Honestly I'd like to first see if I can find a resolution to this then actually have to hang on to the phone waiting for them to help me about a forum issue so asking here first in case anyone has any ideas, lol.

Probably an issue with their AJAX call. Did you try it in a different browser?

yup I did ( mentioned it but I know my post is long lol). I don't know what AJAX is though so can you explain to me ( *the more you know~*) ^^

update: just tried that but unfortunately same thing :<

yup I did that. it highlights it making it the color brown and then I click save but nothing happens.

omgfriggengod LOL. it worked haha. So if they just had a wee picture with a star that may have helped! lol I mean you can click on that whole thing and it highlights, how is one supposed to know you have to click right on the tiny face image o.0.

omg this helped me thank you...had same issue..did not notice ambiguous star
