Stormblood CD Key "invalid" on Mog Station
Hey,

I've just bought the DLC on steam to match my Steam version. After logging into the game and finding i'm still level capped at 50 I did a bit of digging to find out that the mog station doesn't have the DLC registered. I copied the CD Key from steam and pasted it in the relevent DLC registeration section on the Mog Station where I am given an "Invalid Key" error...Anyone else had this problem? I've contacted SE but I will have to wait at least a day to hear back from them.

Any help will be appreciated, thanks

Scottie

Thanks to all that tried to help :)

(Just hope steam will refund me for my blunder)

I noticed you used the words "To Match My Steam Version".

I'm going to assume your account is actually retail. You do not need to buy the Steam expansions or register them. In fact, you cannot if your account is retail. You retain access to the content between the base PC version and Steam.

What I meant by that is I bought both the base game and DLC on steam rather than having a physical copy, or buying direct off of SE. My Mog Station isn't showing I own the DLC, but does show the fact I registered the base game.

I am having the same problem.

I purchased Stormblood through STEAM last night, as I had the original FFXIV.

On the main steam page for F14 it shows Stormblood as purchased and installed. However, when I load the game via the FF14 launcher, it is still loading as "A Realm Reborn."

Also, checking my account on MOGSTATION is shows that I have only purchased ARR through STEAM.

Any way to fix this?

Register the expansion on Mogstation, Steam doesn't do this for you.
I was trying to explain this to another player as well, lol. I think SE makes things so complicated or it's just the combo of SE +Steam so leaves so many players confused. I swear if these were real keys we'd all be weighed down by the number of keys on our chain, lololol.

so that said...

Having only purchased this game from steam ( ARR+HW+SB) I can concur you need to have your registration keys for the expansions also registered at the Mogstation but you need to actually go to your Mogstation account and register them.

I don't know if Stormblood includes two keys or one because I already had Heavensward so when I added the Steam version expansion of Stormblood I only had to register the one but whatever keys you got from Stormblood just register them there as well.

Hey all,

I went to the Mog Station and saw as the above posters stated, that I need to register the new DLC key to Mog Station on the actual Mog Station website. I haven't done this yet as I am still at work but I think this will solve the issue.

To add to the complication I actually live in Japan so I have to read through the directions in Japanese and sometimes its easy to miss a step.

Thank you for the confirmation!

Just log in to Mog Station, in the main page click on 「各サービスのご契約手続き」, from there, inside 「サービスアカウントの選択」you'll see 「拡張パッケージレギストレーションコード入力」in red, click on it and in the next page you will be able to see what services are registered (expansions and platforms) and the list of your characters. Below that, at the bottom of the page you'll see 「コードの入力」and below it a space to add the code. When finished click 「次へ」to go to the next page and confirm the transaction.

Ok just to confirm so i'm not being stupid: Right click on FFXIV in my steam library, go to CD Key then copy the Stormblood key. go to mog station and register the DLC...? This is the steps i've taken and I get a "invalid key" error. I even tried typing the key in manually myself.

You are absolutely sure your account is a steam account and not a retail account?
Scottieboy Aug 17, 2017 @ 9:16am
How could I confirm this, other than having the game in my steam library? wait a minute...I do have a retail copy somewhere in my room of the original game, but I also have steam version, I can't remember which I bought first and made my character....crap...
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

<SOLVED>

1. Copy stormblood cd-key from steam
2. Go to Mogstation - account and then above the big "Enter Expansion Registration Code" to the right click on "Add New Service Account"
3. Enter your steam key
4. It will open you steam browser, so login on browser and confirm
5. Copy the cd-key again (same one)
6. Now you can click on the red "Enter Expansion Registration Code" and enter your code again.
7. confirm
8. Restart stormblood, and open it again and it will start update :)
9.BOOM you can play stormblood
