My only gripe with the game was that you have to pay real money for retainers for extra storage space and you can't pass items to other charcters you have on the server.
Okay first off I have to say that EVE Online is not a solo game.
Now to answer your question: Yes it is.
End game is great, the biggest problem is if you can get there.
there are story skips now, but I do not recommend them... Sort of...
One of the main draws aside from the end game is the story. This is a FF game and it's story holds up EXCEPT for the level 50 story quests. there are abot 100 of them and they are a massive pain in the ass for anyone who is playing the game now. Yes it sucks, but you can skip most of the filler and just pay a little attention to the story and you will understand what's going on when you hit Heavensward.
As soon as you get out of ARR (level 50) and get into HW (50-60) you will be greated with hands down my favorite MMO story of all time. Honestly, I love HW to bits. It's fantastic. In my opinion it even puts Stormblood's story to shame, it's just so well done... The only problem with it is... In order to enjoy it you have to understand what happened at the end of ARR.
So... If you skip the patch quests (the 100 quests after you hit 50) you will be lost and HW will mean nothing to you.
If you aren't willling to play through the story I'd say the game loses a bit of its charm. The end game is good, yes, but the story is literally half the game.
The community is generally pleasent. I highly recommend you play a tank or a healer if you're familiar with WoW and this general kind of combat (it's different but you will catch on) as the queues are a lot lower and if you're decent you won't face any toxicity. (It's rare that you will face toxicity in casual dungeons and easier content, however, there are always the bad apples, especially since expansion is out and lots of players are coming back)
Just to say one thing though... The reasonI came back to the game prior to getting into savage and getting into a good FC was the community. I've made some really great friends through this game, and it has a good community.
My go to tank to recommend to newcomers is PLD as its straightforward and you can do your entire DPS rotation inside tank stance.
Thank for exhausting reply. I will definitely give it a try (you also answered my question if it's worth it to buy the full edition with DLC's for 40 euro)
In case of EVE.....I know it's not a solo game but when I played it last time (couple of weeks ago) it was quite dead. Very very difficult to find active corp and even more difficult to find corp that lasts longer than 2 weeks.
There was no price increase. Brazil and Russia prices were updated to convert from USD price instead of previously cheaper regional pricing.
Anyone else has been and will continue to pay $20 for the game, $40 for expansions, and $15/month for the subscription, for as long as the game stays online.
Non-Steam BR and RUS players were paying the same price before the change as they are now.
