DPS Dungeon Queue Times are pretty brutal
Whenever I play as any of the Healer roles I get like a 1 - 16 minute queue time for dungeons but when I'm running my Summoner the queue times can be as long as over 25 minutes.

That is pretty brutal. Square should find a way to fix that.

Adventurer in need
Mounts for tanks doing 8 man content
Roulette bonus

They've got a few things there already to try and keep queues moving.

The problem is that there's just less people who want/tolerate playing tank or healer...

Doesn't help that every new job in the expansion was a DPS job...

♥♥♥♥, seriously? Looks like I'm moving Tank up on my leveling priority.

I am a healer main myself but I got just bored playing as a healer after playing it for so long. Playing as a DPS was refreshing because for once, somebody else had to deal with keeping other people alive.

Not to mention summoning Bahamut is way cooler than my best buddies Eos and Selene.

I would play healer if I didn't have crippling fear of playing healer back when I was first starting in WOW, I tried to heal as a druid. (Back then, I was a real noob, and didn't relaize balance, the spec I was maining in, didn't mean balancing both attack and healing spells but an actual DPS role)

So naturally the Paladin yelled and chewed me out to a new player who has never ever touched an MMO until then and traumatized me from ever playing another healer class and stuck to DPS classes.

Been always trying to encourage myself to play White Mage (since it's been a favorite class of mine from the Final Fantasy series) but that fear would always come back and push me away from it.

I was pretty young back then, so it wasn't until later that I relaized the importance of roles and main-specs.

Maybe one day, I'll finally bite the bullet and try White Mage.

all I say Lucky it is not like the release of the Rogue and Ninja. That thing I felt sorry for DPS Mains, I kid you not, I started watching Return of the King from start to finish and I still didn't get into a dungeon,

I think it's because this time around a lot of Tank and Healer mains who were thinking about focusing on the new classes instead remembered what Rogue/Ninja was like and decided to hold off.

It's already happened. In 4.05 they will add it in official description. I already got several of them.

Actually, queue times have been tolerable at worst for me. No instant pops though I don't expect those to happen anyway.

I have low level gladiator, marauder and conjurer but I'm just too scared to use duty finder on those classes even for first three newbie dungeons. I don't even want to think about guildhests...
I've just had too many very bad experiences as tank and healer in another game: if it's not "rush, rush!" it's "you're not playing up to my standards" -> kick

50/60 dungeon and leveling queues have been about 20~30 minutes for me on DPS.
But Trial queues have been 5~10 minutes.

Queueing for specific dungeons takes slightly longer than a leveling queue, barring one instance of a 45 minute wait for the level 70 story dungeon, before I gave up for the night.

They're adding materia vi drops in 4.05 for df bonuses. Hopefully that should fix the queues somewhat.

P.S. It's only for tanks and healers, not dps.

Actually, those drops were already added.

Adventurer in need, Leveling roulette only, and the class has to be 60+.

They couldn't get the duty finder UI to show the reward until 4.05.

da heck are some of you talking about here with 4.05? they already added the clusters for in need roles with the last maintenance if you would care to read. its just not DISPLAYED in the bonus section yet till 4.05. but youll already be granted with a cluster. but this is only for duty roulette LEVELING. not the others.

just run duty roulette leveling as "in need" and youll get clusters added when you finish duty.

materia prices did already crash trough SB hunt marks while we still had instances. some people have like 200-300 clusters already by now. (gl trying to get ixion mount now XD)

which is good. makes pentamelding more affordable.

Yoshida big mistake was not making a new tank and healer allowing new gameplay for these roles. I don't mind having samurai as a dps but adding TWO of those made the dps queue a more pain in the ass.
