yes, but only if you have played the game before. If you're new don't buy them as you will have a very hard time learning to play with no knowledge.

I bought the scholar one and I love it :) but I played before and it wasnt too difficult to pikc hte class up since I had knowledge of the game and people who helped me.

Depends on your preference. For one I would rather grind though it helps I already got all LVL 60 before Stormblood, like 1.5 years before Stormblood.

They trim down the amount of abilities you get so it's easier to pick up (not necessarily easier to master).

Mhmm. My main right now is lvl 50 and I just beat the first msq. In the process of finishing the 7th Astral Era to get to heavensward. I guess I should learn the value of hardwork and not instant gratification. Plus I want to master one or two of the jobs.

Taking the story boost is like paying to skip the best part of this game.

I have to say, this story is the best one out of any mmo I have ever played.
First mmo I really want to play because of it.
I skipped most cutscenes of Heavensward to get to Bloodstorm faster, except a select few and specially the ones at the end of the main heavensward entering The Thousand Year Blood War Arc, it's a fun storyling, you can always just go to your house or rent a room on an in and watch all the cutscenes I believe!

Seriously, kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up they content lock the espansion behind like 200 quests (like 20 of which involve serving NPCs food, and around 120 are just running back and forth talking to NPCs) but sell the ability to bypass the grind for 25 bucks.
only if you hit lv 60 before:B1:

the expansions are usually high end gear anyways from what i understand (new to mmos) so meh, personally i dont know why people would pay to skip content but who am i to judge (my friend gets mad at me cause i dont usually skip cut scenes, ♥♥♥♥ that ♥♥♥♥ im interested in the story man)

Ehh, I have a stable job and the only thing I pay for is my phone bill and gym membership. I can replace fast food meals with ingame goodies :)

I didn't say I was gonna take the story boost. I personally enjoy the story and I watched all the cutscenes except for the last two cuz everyone wants to fcking sprint through and it's full of cutscenes lmao.

My take on it is right now im playing scholar and its okay insta que is nice but not a class I want to play long term, I have tried most of the other classes and the expansion classes look the most interesting to me so im going to lv to 50 then use the msq pot to find the class I want to play. No point in grinding a class Im not uber interested in when I can find one I want to play at 50 since theres 5 more classes available.
