FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

Will I enjoy FFXIV endgame if I hated leveling up?
I'm not really saying I hated leveling up, I was passive about it and that made me bored sooner or later.
I don't have much of an idea of what endgame consists of. I think it's something regarded to raiding or something. I just want to know if I can sink my entire life into this mmo because it has that much content.

End game in my opinion is just leveling up.. It's definitely not the content since it locks you out after you've done the raid each week and it takes bloody ages to get into the fun raids which consist of 24 hours but I don't mind since you can read a book or craft while you queue for 38+ minutes.

End game is literally just gearing by earning a special currency that you get from dungeons and paying for equipment at a special vendor, it'll take about 2 months to get to the Ilvl to actually catch up and do current raids though unless you have a mate that can craft you 250Ilvl gear as soon as you reach level 60.
Well, dungeons and fates are supposed to be really easy, that much I can say. The end game imo consists of what you have in your average MMO, raids, dungeons, and other extra activities that they add with every new major patch. If you didn't like it because it was too easy or presented no challenge you probably will like the end game, I know I did. But thats just me.

38 minutes? Are you queueing for CT? Because I ran Void Ark and Dun Scaith this morning and I didn't have to wait 38 minutes in queue.

Two months? The item level required for Dun Scaith is only 230, which you can get to by getting Lore gear--which isn't even capped anymore. Try, at most, two weeks.

For the fun dungeons which means all the old 24 man raids into account and not just the new ones.

Of course the new ones will be about a 15 minute wait for dps.

I typically ment to be raid ready but I didn't take into account the weekly gear from DC now.

Dun Scaith had an awful queue time last week depending on your party setup. We tried as tank, two healers and one or two dps and gave up after about 40 minutes. Tried it again just as tank and healer and got in after about 7 minutes.

As for how time consuming the game is, it depends entirely on you. You can get the required gear for almost any type of content within days of hitting level 60, but if you want the gear for the sake of having the gear, yes, it will be very time consuming.
There's no limit on A9-12, so you can scratch waiting for ilvl 250 gears. Weapon wise there's also no limit to get ilvl 265.

Go to party finder dude LOL...38 minutes is too long.
The tldr of end game is: Quality content. Min ilvl sync ensures that even old content can be challenging (Not just Duty Finder Sync, a seperate options that syncs it even lower). Each "raid tier" lasts about 3 months before new content is added. It's never too long before you have something new to do, some new primal to kill, new stuff to aquire ect. ect.

However, I am not sure what level you are currently. If you did not enjoy the Main Story Quest, the ARR stuff (Non expansion stuff) is all tied to the MSQ. You will have about 100 MSQs between ARR and HW. When you get to HW not only do MSQs become shorter, but less content is tied to them. the game itself is still VERY story based and everything has a story behind it. PotD has a story, the Raids have a story, the new Primal Fights have a story, Alexander (the other raids that consists mainly of boss fights) has a story. I think you get the picture.

If you just want content without any exposition you can find it here (if you like skipping cutscenes). But overall, the leveling experience and MSQs required to get into HW content is a hell of a lot of the game. I'd say the first 200h if you take your time. 100h if you rush.

Oh, and in regards to que times. Don't play a DPS if you don't want to deal with que times. Tanks are the best for shot ques and healers are second best. You have been warned of the 30m ques.
The end game is what you want to make of it. There's hard mode raid so you can bang on your keyboards, only A9-12 Ex are weekly loot lockout but Primal Ex are not.

Then you get casual tomestone build up and 24 man raid, which only the highest tier has lock out. You can get raid ready without limit as the ilvl 250 and ilvl 265 are not locked out. If you have money you can also buy crafted ilvl 250.

Then you got your anima weapon to upgrade, which is a huge grind.

Then you have end game gathering and crafting. Palace of the Dead, Aquapolis, Golden Saucer etc.

What? It takes maybe three weeks of tome gathering to have the minimum item level required for most everything now: 235 (excluding Zurvan EX, which is 250). With the GARO event going on you can actually do it in a day or less, depending on how much you want to run PVP, as the GARO gear is exactly 235.

Additionally, 250 gear can be acquired through Alex 9-12.
