The cancel button on the patcher?

If I hit that cancel button, will it pause the download or cancel it completely requiring me to redownload what Ive already done?

Unless I'm mistaken, it'll pause it, you should be able to resume where you left off.

Yeah, it'll resume. Have done it a few times while downloading Stormblood.

It is scarey! Really, I wasn't sure about that myself and unfortunately I had internet issues so I had to often restart an install or patch with FF.
I would see on an install like a dlc that it would accumulate each time so I could see it wasn't a start over but honestly I couldn't tell when I was patching like just after the last maintenance I had isp issues and every time I had to restart it looked like it was patching from the beginning again.

I kind of wish they would improve their launcher as I've seen better designed ones, like having a pause button so your not having to cancel and close the game and restart would be nice for one thing.
