Anyone else with STEAM collectors edition having issues with Key?
I bought the collectors edition from the Square Enix store, and the factory sealed box has a key that won't work... anyone else with this issue?

If you have an account connected to steam you can't use outside keys. You have to use steam only. If you don't have steam connected then contact Square Enix support.

Where are you entering the key? By that I mean which button under Account are you pressing to get to a key entry page?

I ask this because there's four total and only one of them is for the expansion.

Nevermind, I found an E-Mail from Square Enix I had missed in my 200+ E-Mails a day. They misprinted their Collectors edition key cards (For STEAM), and the E-Mail had a proper working one. Its all good now. Sorry for the pointless post in the end. (Unless someone else missed that E-Mail as well)

Hey, cool they caught it. I should check for one too becaues I ordered the physical collectors too. (But I'm a smarty pants. I bought the digital for PC and the collectors for PS4 so I'm not out on my butt.)

The E-Mail said it was only the steam version, but I'd still check I suppose.

Greetings,

We have discovered a printing error in regard to your recent purchase of FINAL FANTASY XIV: Stormblood CE (STEAM) that we would like to inform you of.

Inside the Collector’s Edition package, you will find a 20-digit Mog Station registration code where a 15-digit Steam code should be. It’s important to activate the 15-digit Steam code on Steam so that you will have ownership of the expansion in your Steam games library.

As such, we are including the 15-digit Steam code below and ask that you use it to activate your copy of the Stormblood Collector’s Edition on Steam. Even if you have redeemed the 20-digit code on Mog Station already, it’s important to activate your Steam code below as well.

How to activate your FINAL FANTASY XIV: Stormblood Steam code:

1. Launch the Steam client software and log into your Steam account.
2. Click the Games menu.
3. Choose Activate a Product on Steam...
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the process.

Once you have redeemed the code on Steam, you will be able to access your 20-digit Mog Station code by navigating to the FINAL FANTASY XIV product in your library, and selecting “View CD Key” on the right-side “Links” menu.

** If you have already redeemed the printed 20 digit code inside the Collector’s Edition, you can disregard the following steps.

Simply copy your CE code to the clipboard, and follow these instructions to redeem it on the Mog Station (http://sqex.to/Msp):

1. Log in to the Mog Station using the Square Enix Account on which you wish to play Stormblood.
2. Select the service account to which you wish to register Stormblood.
If you have multiple service accounts, click each tab under "Select Service Account" and check the character list to ensure you select the correct account. Once you have chosen the desired service account, click "Manage Service Options."
3. You will now be taken to the "Account Services" screen.
Double-check the character list and World names to confirm you have the correct service account, then click "Enter the Registration Code for the Expansion."
4. Enter your 20-digit registration code in the field at the bottom of the screen, then click "Next."
5. Confirm details. Registration cannot be canceled after this step, so be sure you have selected the correct service account before clicking "Next" to complete the registration process.
6. The registration process is now complete.
Click "Return to Your Account" to confirm your account details.
7. Look under "Account Status" to confirm that Stormblood has been registered to your chosen platform.
8. The Mog Station registration process is now complete.
To begin playing, launch FINAL FANTASY XIV and log in using the Square Enix Account to which you registered the expansion to download the latest updates.

Notice:
FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn (Steam) must be installed.
The Steam version of Stormblood is only compatible with the Steam version of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.
