Can't Connect to Aether Data Center

Title says it, I'm able to connect to other data centers just fine. I was just playing, had to switch to my other steam account, when I switched back I started getting " The lobby server connection has encountered an error. 2002"

Ports are open and I doubt it's server congestion at this time.

2002 means the login server for that data center is down. Nothing to troubleshoot but your patience stat.

Out of curiosity where are you getting this information?

I've searched plenty of forums and Reddit, haven't seen anything state the issue is related to that.

Doesn't actually mean you're the only one effected, it just means a random stranger can reach the lobby server while you can't. Have you tried again?

No, after I click play, a few seconds go by as it tries to connect. The message pops and when I click "ok" it shuts down the game.

I've tried restarting my computer, checking firewall settings, resetting my router. Though if I can connect to other data centers I dont think any of these things would be the issue.

Also worth noting that I can't seem to connect to mog station. Page loads for a while then I get a message saying "The connection has timed out"

If you can't reach that then something is definitely disrupting your communications. Normally this turns out to be a temporary hiccup with ISPs, but it could be other things. Have you tried a VPN yet?

VPN works, but it's limited. No way I'm paying for VPN and FFXIV sub.
So it's ISP related then?

Yeah, that means your ISP is currently doing something to disrupt your connection. There are paid VPNs, but you should probably just call and demand they fix this with you.

I guess, that's the way to go. Though, any idea why it would only affect one data center?

They're possibly blocking that particular IP or communications to a certain country.
