Gae Bolg weapon

Is it worth to do A Relic Reborn quest to obtain Gae Bolg weapon on lvl 50? I googled it and this is the most insane quest i ever seen. You need to do more than 20 actions through this quest and obtain 11 items to exchange it all on that Gae Bolg weapon.
So i ask you, is it even worth it? Or can I get another good weapon spending less effort? It's my frist class and i still doing main scenario quests (ARR), so i don't have a lot of money to buy anything yet.

You can get an i130 weapon by spending 1300 Tomestones of Poetics. The 2.0 Relic weapons are only good for glamours now.

Probably just the one time. Money isn't really the issue... it's the time. Especially since you're doing it for a DRG. One saving grace is that you save a little time for Anima weapons [you can skip the first part if you have a complete Zodiac Zeta]. You're not doing it for efficiency or costs... it's for the sake of doing it.

Get the ilevel 120 gear with Allagan Tomestone of Poetics, then trade that for gear you'll get for quets and dungeons in HW while you get Lore's to trade for the ilevel 230 gear. You can get the 210 gear easily too by doing hunts.

As for the weapon, once you get to 60, get your weapons on palace of the dead to 30/30 and trade it for a 235 ilevel weapon, then, if you want a better weapon, get your palace of the dead weapons to 60/60 and trade it for the ilvel 255 kinna weapons. Then use that until you complete your anima.

It is lousy at the moment but you can progess a little faster for your anima weapon if you complete it (lv60 relic)

The level 60 relic are more worth it than the lv50

Its only worth it for the glamour, and the steps required have been butchered so youll still have to grind but not as much as before

It actually takes longer to get the Zeta weapon than it does to do the Anima step the Zeta weapon lets you skip.

Yes it does, to make first anima just need to grind some fates which with good look would take few hours at best, 1 day at worst, also If I remember correctly drop rate was buffed in latest patch. Or you can farm all ARR relics which will be 10times longer or even more.

I think it took like two days for me, and that was back when it was brand new, before it got nerfed like crazy.

Drop rate for the crystals got buffed...its much easier to get it now, took me about 4 hours to get all the crystals from all the maps.

Unless you want to grind out the zeta just to have it because reasons, or unless you're insane like me and spend your free time grinding all teh old relics to zeta just because, there's no point to working on them right now.
