Tips on Warrior AoE Tanking
Haven't played my Warrior in a long time for dungeon runs, and got so use to the Dark Knight style that I forgot a lot on AoE Tanking with Warrior. So I am just looking for a few tips on using Warrior when doing large pulls.

As I said, Dungeon Runs, their is no such thing as Savage Dungeon. But to be more specific, mainly the level 60 content which has the more or less 8+ Mob Pulls, Overall, I find trying to do large pulls and just using Overpower, just feel inefficient, outright boring. Plus, Unlike most of the combos I have done with my Dark Knight, just the Overpower alone, I miss maybe half of the targets on it's conal AoE. I actually perfered using the Paladin's Flash over it.

I am trying to add in stuff like, Steel Cyclone and Decimate, to help wtih better clears, But I can't really stack Wrath or Abandon in a sustainable rotation without 1-3 Mobs Jumping onto my teammates.

Well you can use flash of the paladin even as a warrior. MIght be only 2 or 3 flashes but might still be useful. If you pull them all to one side using overpower should get them all.

technically my Dark Knight doesn't revovle around Abyssal Drain, really. I only use as a Opener, with Dark Arts, to healing off the initial pull until my Healer gets close , or if the healer is starting to struggle through the and made way to minmize use of Unleash and Abyssal drain, with higher amount of damage and control.

I see about, this semi rotation, to see how it will work, but I feel it maybe still inefficiant.

It is the reason why Dark Arts > Abyssal Drain is used early

Litterally it is Unleash x2 > Blood Price > Darks Arts > Abyssal Drain. That I can actually go through many different Such as DA Soul Eater combo, DA Carve and Spit, Keep Dark Passanger and Salt the Earth on CD, that it clears most of the wave before I really need to do another Unleash or Abyssal.

I actually have to disagree with the "Biggest Potency" I would have to disagree, You actually have lower Clear Time.

You grab 10 Mobs, and you do DA Abyssal Drain, you do 1,200 Potency overall, but it is still 120 to a single target, but if you do a DA Soul Eater and a DA Carve and Spit that is a 870 Potency, but that is to a single target, and that Target is now Easier to Kill.

It is a reason why, players don't focus, on Spread Shot, Ring of Thorns, Doom Spike, Fire II, etc. When taking care of these large pulls, Because it is faster and more effiecient to focus on killing Each Target 1 at a time.

But again no one actually focuses on those two Abiltiies, No one ever really Does.

But then again you looking at it as a Overall. Overall, yes it is more damage, But again that is a 120 per Skill to a single taget compared to a compared to 266.7 to a Single Target. It is good to weaken a group but is Inefficient in clearing them unless they were completely weak like the FIre Sprites in the first dungeon you ever play. While in theory it should take them down faster, overall, it is taking them down slower.

I have done this with my Dragoon in Baelsar's Wall, The Final Run to the Final Boss where, the Tank can pull 3 groups of Mobs. I done the mix of RoT and Doom Spike and I have done the Runs in which I focus on my ROtations for Geirskugol procs, which is 1 out of 2-3 Rotations.

All in all, it took a lot longer for the RoT and Doom Spike to clear the Group then it did the Geirskugol single target rotations, even though in theory, I am still doing a 1000-1600 Potency per skill, for all those units.

As for that Video I saw more particle effects Fire 3, and Flares and Ice 2s, more then Fire 2s. Actually surprised seeing a black mage go in with the Ice 2.

3. YOu can compare different runs because while everyone does do combos and does different ways of combat, different levels of power, You have tested out how DPS work, you find what takes the least amount of time, through your several runs.

And I have seen throuhg my runs as a Dragoon, and as a Dark Knight, focusing on completely AoE abiltiies, has been the least efficient in all my clears,

Oh god, you brought up Blizzard 2 to Shirayuki. This is not going to end well.

Cross Skill Flash is a major help since Warriors already don't use there MP, Overpower is good but overuse ruins your TP thats why you cross skill Flash in to fill that gap, Steel Cyclone helps as well if your willing to use your 5 stacks yet.

forget about people telling you about flash. you cannot have that anymore within 10 days from now. forgot about bloodbath aswell. also gone. learning that now is a waste of your time clearly.

all you will be able to do in 10 days from now is spam overpower. and try to get a decimate in here and there or a steel cyclone if you manage to build up the gauge needed.

everything else is basicly a thing of the past. vengenace is still useful tough. but thats pretty much it for 4.0 onward : SPAM overpower for aoe emity and rotate CDs for defense pop berserk now and then. its not like you can do much else without needing huge amount of gauge first which takes too long to build on trashpulls in dungeons.
