Stream run
I was playing TRON RUN/r while at Pax South. The team there can attest to me being there. I was getting the record on the stream run. I liked all the levels and etc., but I still had trouble with the light cycle levels they are significally harder then they seem without one of the companions.

The red like "Virus" I would call it, that throw their red discs at you. I think that would be something that would make that Stream run alot harder and alot more, interesting, to play.

I had a record of 6:05 on the Stream run on the Saturday Pax South. I was realizing it's actually really easy once you have the running mechanics down, the only hard part was the light cycle unless you had one of the companions. So I think it would be something really neat to be able to add to the Stream Run, endless level, if was possible.

So you were able to play a complete, or near-complete, build of the game? To what extent, if any, multiplayer functionality is there? If any was visible/noticeable?

The promotional material for the Feb. 16th release of the game states you can "challenge your friends" in Stream mode. Do you know if this is as simple as comparing scores on a leaderboard (so not playing together at the same time), or something more?

It's just comparing the scores. I asked them about like side by side and etc., but none of that maybe eventually though.

So it is just simply comparing high scores. That's a bummer. Was afraid of that. Though, like you said, maybe later they'll add real multiplayer.

Is the ability to drive a Light Runner in the game, yet? (The Light Runner is the vehicle Quorra drove in TRON Legacy, in case anyone is wondering.) Files for it are in the game, but are currently unused. I'm wondering if it will be in the Feb. 16th release, or if they're going to put it off until later.

While I was at pax, I could barely get past the first few Light Cycle levels. I'm not a very accomplished Light cycle runner, I'm alot better at the running levels. I can assure you there are at least 16-18 levels for both. They said they will probably come out with DLC for more levels. So it may come out as a DLC one day. Possibly. I'm unsure on that.

They also said there may not be like multiplayer. When I asked about like side to side play against someone, like maybe on the same computer or platform together. Though not necesarrily online. I was trying to see if they'd be willing to do that kinda side by side technique. They were unsure, considering there's nothing really to it.

BTW, was the PC version represented at all? Or were they only showing the console versions? It would be nice to know the PC version is running well and at least on par with the console versions, and they don't pretend like the PC doesn't exist.

All right, I think I've bugged you enough. :) Thanks for answering questions about the game. Appreciate it! I really do hope they listened to your suggestions, because I believe it echoes the sentiments of just about everyone.
I beat through level 10 at pax for runner and when I got home I purchased it on steam and played through again. The pc version ran identical to the console one for me. I used an xbox controller and couldn't tell the difference.

LDSO, at Pax South it was all on the PC, with an XBOX controller. It's so much easier with the controller.

Also Dermatophiliac did you do that today or on Saturday, or Friday?

Very true! I've been able to play the Disc levels with KB&M, but I find the Light Cycle levels almost impossible. At least, until rebinding controls to what you prefer is supported in-game.

Honestly. The light cycle levels are extremely hard. There'll be a companion though when the game comes out, costs 200 bits. That will actually give you double time from the gates. So it wil make it significantly easier. Playing the light cycle was a significant amount easier, when played with some type of controller other then the keyboard.

Yeah I played it a lot at PAX South as well. It was a pretty damn near complete build of the game. Lots of fun.

Errrm, well, I finished all six light cycle levels with a keyboard & mouse... Level 4 took a few goes though...
