Lightcycle Tricks

Okay can't figure out how and when to do tricks in lightcycle. I keep trying and trying. When do you need to push the trick button and what button is it exactly because the controls say differently from the tutorial.

Yeah, I couldn't get tricks to work either. I thought maybe it had to do with timing. But it's possible either the tutorial is wrong about what key to press, or the feature is simply broken right now.

The game REALLY needs the ability to rebind controls in-game. I tried to find a way to remap controls, but so far haven't had any luck. I'll keep tinkering. TRON RUN/r should be equally playable with keyboard and mouse, in addition to a controller. Being unable to rebind makes Light Cycles especially awkward to control.

Figured it out. The correct key for tricks is indeed listed in the options menu for controls. It's the Q key. Not E, like the tutorial says. I think it's also timing sensitive, but there does seem to be a fair bit of leeway. (It was just a matter of determining which was the correct key to perform a trick, in my case.)

EDIT: I just edited my TRON RUN/r guide to mention the correct keyboard key and controller buttons to do tricks. Thanks to voxeljello on tumblr for showing me which buttons work on a controller.
