What are the best Pirate games out there?

Like the title says, tho there are a few things I want to point out, no early access ♥♥♥♥ like Blackwake Island, it doesn't have to be PC exclusive, & NO RISEN GAMES THEY SUCK!

I haven't played Blood & Gold Caribbean yet (I only buy games when they are heavily discounted, and this game seems too new for that), but it seems to be an upgraded and modded version of Mount & Blade Warband, and if it's similar to Mount & Blade Warband, then I highly recommend it.

Age of Pirates (original version is crystal beautiful, but with Gentlemen of Fortune 2.0 mod is more detailed and wider fun).

You need the proper copies because the game crashes if you have bad copies.. especially always crash if you place the game in C:/ Program Files..

Must always keep such games outside of Program files folder in order to stop crashing.
Other than that, it's the best pirate (GTA style) game out there.


Another very similar is Pirates of the Caribbean : New Horizons (modded).
Original POTC is much different and much worse than the mod. The mod is excellent and the mod team work hard everyday to keep game upto date from bugs and new features. You can join the Piratesahoy forum and stay to date with us pirate loving folks and see the recommended pirate games, and all sorts of communal stuff.

Good copies of both games can be found if you dig around the website or ask around. Enjoy!

This game for Xbox (lots of little improvements, still my preferred version) is great if you can still find it. There's also the 1986 classic "Pirates!" game for Commodore, and while I haven't played AC4 Black Flag myself, I've heard endless praise about it.

But if u wanted something more playeble and simple, you can try "Sea dogs: city of abandoned ships." Its mb better for some people. BUT! Theres no steam version of that game, so u need to go in your local shop and BUY it(U know what i mean Kappa... torr......e....n..t) and "City of abandoned ships" has solid english version, thats + too.
p.s. but really, its so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good, simply my favorite game about pirates!

Tempest is another Early Access game. I don't have it so I can't comment on it but it may be worth a look.

I would recommend Assassin's Creed Black Flag, it's simply great if you're into third person gamesand don't mind having the AC lore thrown into the mix.

Pirates of Black Cove is a bit on the casual side but it can be fun.

considering the fun i'm already having with it i think it's fair to mark it as good although pirates are currently nothing special in it
